JUIEE UGLYWORLD
ARTIST
JUIEE is a Korean visual artist and the creator of UGLYWORLD, an ongoing world-building art project that uses the structure of a theme park as an artistic medium. She received her BFA in Illustration from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California.
Her practice spans painting, installation, public art, spatial design, and interactive experiences. Through UGLYWORLD, she has developed exhibitions and large-scale projects in collaboration with galleries, cultural spaces, commercial venues, and public-art projects in South Korea.
Her work explores how environments, systems, and fictional spaces can shape emotional experience. She is currently continuing to develop UGLYWORLD as a long-term artistic universe that can exist across exhibitions, physical spaces, and future immersive environments.
